The Women and Children’s Medical Social Work Team is based in Maternity and Paediatric Departments in UHG. We understand that women and families can experience many life challenges/difficulties when attending maternity or Paediatric services. As a team we provide specialised one-to-one support for women and families. We will work with you in order to learn how best we can assist you with any difficulties you are experiencing in your hospital journey and beyond.
You can be referred to a Medical Social Worker in UHG via any health care professional. We accept referrals from your GP, Public Health Nurse or community support worker.
